About this service
Store Score (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a free tool that analyses publicly available Etsy shop data and returns a scored report with actionable recommendations. By using this service you agree to these terms.
Store Score uses the Etsy API to retrieve public shop information. The term ‘Etsy’ is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
What the service does
- Retrieves publicly visible shop data via the Etsy Open API (listings, reviews, scores, profile completeness).
- Scores that data across four categories: SEO, pricing, presentation, and social proof.
- Provides specific, ranked recommendations based on those scores.
- Generates a PDF report summarising the findings.
All data used in the audit is the same data visible to any buyer visiting the shop on Etsy.com. We do not access private shop data, order history, financial information, or any data that requires the shop owner to authenticate.
What the service does not do
- We do not guarantee any improvement in sales, views, or rankings as a result of following our recommendations.
- We do not access, store, or process any Etsy buyer data.
- We do not replicate or replace any Etsy functionality — the audit is a diagnostic tool only.
- We do not charge for features that Etsy itself provides free of charge.
Data accuracy and freshness
Audit results are cached for up to 6 hours for listing data and 24 hours for other shop data, in accordance with Etsy API usage policy. Scores reflect the state of the shop at the time of the last audit. Re-running the audit after making changes will produce an updated result.
Scores and recommendations are based on observable public signals and our own methodology. They represent our analysis, not Etsy’s internal metrics or algorithmic ranking signals.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit shop URLs for shops you do not own or have permission to audit.
- Use the service to scrape, harvest, or collect data at scale.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the service.
- Use audit results to harass, defame, or misrepresent any shop or seller.
Intellectual property
The audit methodology, scoring logic, report format, and all written content on this site are the property of Store Score. Shop data retrieved via the Etsy API remains subject to Etsy’s API Developer Terms of Use.
All product listings, images, and shop content displayed in audit reports are the property of the respective Etsy sellers and link back to their original listings on Etsy.com.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that following recommendations will produce specific results. Use the recommendations as one input among many, not as definitive business advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Store Score shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this service, including but not limited to lost revenue or missed sales opportunities.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
